A simple How to list of steps once you have installed the software. Maybe an explanation of each item on the BOINC Manager? I had a hard time figuring out what each item, and I still don't know much, does and how it works. Also, maybe an openning statement of what SETI@Home is and how DS works and HOW IMPORTANT IT IS! Thanks, Jim Lee.

The simple view is that once you have BOINC installed and are attached to the set of projects you like, there is not much to do at all.

Simple view->Help->BOINC Manager ends up at http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Simple_view, which explains what all the knobs and buttons do.
Similarly, for the advanced view, Help->BOINC Manager ends up at http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Advanced_view.

The Add Project wizard shows per project what the project is all about, for instance for the Seti project it says: "SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) is a scientific area whose goal is to detect intelligent life outside Earth. One approach, known as radio SETI, uses radio telescopes to listen for narrow-bandwidth radio signals from space. Such signals are not known to occur naturally, so a detection would provide evidence of extraterrestrial technology."

The one thing you have to do with optimized applications once installed is make certain that you install the updates as they come out as these are not done automatically as is done with the stock applications.
