What does "ready to report" status mean and is there anything that I, as a user, am suppose to do when I have this status message. I also have have another project in "running" status, but the standard screen saver does not seem to be working. What I mean is that while the BOINC manager is up, the status of one project is running, but I don't see the graphics. Thanks, Jim Lee, NEWBIE.

"Ready to report" is exactly that. BOINC returns work in batches, and that work is simply waiting for BOINC to report the work, which BOINC will do automatically.

As for the graphics, the screen saver only kicks in when your screen saver kicks in, and the graphics only show if you select the current running task then click on the "Show Graphics" button.

Yes.

BOINC will report tasks at the first of:

1) 24 hours before deadline.
2) Connect every X (maintain enough work for X) before deadline.
3) 24 hours after completion.
4) Immediately upon completion of upload if later than 1 - 3.
5) On a work request.
6) On a trickle up message.
7) On a trickle down message.
8) On a server scheduled request.
9) On an account manager request.
10) Immediately if No New Tasks is selected.
11) When the user pushes the update button.
