Yaki point is correct ... I knew it wouldn't last too long.
John gets the win and Gary gets the extra credit.

Ok here we go. Please remember there are no
PM's (private messages) allowed.
This one will be very hard; I am looking for
the exact name of this edifice. Brownie
points for naming the city.

Is it the WFCU Centre in Windsor, Ontario?
Named for the Windsor Family Credit Union.
<Edit> The exact name is "Windsor Family Credit Union Centre".

I get the feeling this was taken near 119th Ave NW and Great Hockey player name Drive.

Ahh ... Got it :-)

The arena formerly known as Northlands Coliseum, Edmonton Coliseum, and Skyreach Centre. Currently named Rexall Place. It's in Edmonton,Alberta and the Great Hockey Player name Drive that Gary mentioned in the psuedo clue is Wayne Gretzky Drive NW. Please give the win to Gary as he clearly knew the answer before me (unless, of course, my answer is wrong).

edit: Don't want Mr. Gretzky angry with me for misspelling his name.
