Duplicity of the "Daily Ragtag"? Can someone please correct me if I'm incorrect on the following: - I've researched the Geneva Convention & at this time, cannot find what I'm looking for...... Our Women at War Nice enough article, but it's bugging me....... 10th picture down is a nurse with the rank of Captain - no problem there.... 12th picture down is supposed to be the same nurse on patrol - big problem with that..... I've always thought that under the Geneva Convention, NO medic is to bear arms...... So if I'm correct, the Daily Ragtag (if the person depicted is the same officer of course) should be aware of that! ID: 1298005 ·  |

With tomorrow being Remembrance Day, this is deplorable: - Grave of VC Holder  Source & before someone rubbishs this as a biased report from a "redtop", I know for a fact that some info is 100% correct! John Freeman Buried: Abney Park Cemetery, Stoke Newington, London. State of grave: Abysmal. Cracked, overgrown. Date VC won: October 10, 1857. Where: India. Action: Freeman was a private in the 9th Lancers during the Indian Mutiny. In an engagement with the Indian cavalry near Agra, Freeman’s commanding officer, Lt Jones, was shot, and Freeman decided to rescue him. He managed not only to kill the leader of the enemy’s cavalry but he also successfully defended himself and Jones against repeated attacks. Freeman was dangerously wounded the following May, but survived and died in Hackney in East London in 1913, aged about 80. I lived in Bouverie Road, London N16 in the early 70's (google map it & see how close it is to Abney Park) & my mates & I often used to use the cemetery as a shortcut until one day in 1973 when I spotted Mr Freeman's grave - it wasn't very well maintained then, but 2 of us kept it from getting overgrown (out of the 15 of us, 2 of us were studying Military History & felt that more respect should be shown these fallen heroes). That is until one day, the caretaker caught us tidying the area up & reported us. We received a caution from the Police (the bugger had called them) Since that day & even though I'm an ex-serviceman myself, I despair every 11/11 when I see the jumped up muppets that lead us, fawn on that sad day. Just wondering if someone will have the courage to take this to the EU Courts! 2 million drivers face £1000 fines due to driving on an invalid license Whoa!!!!!!!! hold your horses HMG & DM!!!!!!!!!!! Invalid? Really? Under current law, one must have a photocard & paper counterpart..... .....as the photocards are ONLY VALID for 10 years, does that make the license invalid should one not renew it? NO & why not? Simple, the paper counterpart LEGALLY STATES license is valid until age 70! Hmmmn, wondering if because of that very duplicity that this is coming in effect...... ......."A spokesman said: ‘As part of a Government-wide process to get rid of unnecessary, burdensome and overcomplicated regulation, the Department for Transport is, among other measures, scrapping the regulation requiring motorists to hold a paper counterpart to their driving licence by 2015 at the latest.’ " ID: 1325009 · |

Real duplicity at work...... Last year an S.A.S sniper was prosecuted & imprisoned because a pistol was found in his kit that arrived in the UK...... ...after a lengthy legal fight, he had his conviction overturned...... ....NOW..... ..after successfully winning his fight, the muppets known as beaurocrats are kicking him out...... ....WHY?........ ....because of an injury suffered in 2009......... ..HOLD YOUR HORSES! 2009?...... ..didn't he serve in Iraq 2010/11? SAS Sniper to be discharged Here's a better solution: - ALL returning service personnel to be given employment at the M.o.D & all the useless, pen pushing *********** *********** to take their place in the combat zones..... ...might get better running government departments!
