I have had a few Astropulse 6 tasks that completed since Friday april 6,(on more than one computer on my account), and were reported, and even showed up on my results page as validated with credit issued. i just checked my results tonight and all of the validated astropulse6 tasks that i had already received credit for and were validated, are now disappeared. anybody else have this happen to them? i know for sure which computers completed astropulse 6 WU's - there were at least 2 or 3 already validated and another couple pending. as of right now i only see one astropulse 6 task pending credit, this one just uploaded a few minutes ago. the aborted astropulse 6 units you see are from over a week or two ago and those are unrelated, the ones i know completed and were validated or awaiting validation are much more recent and are no longer visible..

Once the workunits are validated, the canonical result is saved to the master database and all results for the workunit are deleted. You don't lose any credit; you just can't see them as "completed and validated" any longer. This usually happens after 24 hours following validation.

And on a separate note, I have a handful of decent core 2 duo machines that have no hard drives in them; so I am looking for somewhere to affiordably buy some and install to these machines. I will be dedicating these machines SOLEY to running BOINC for seti@home once i install the new HDDs and get them running. If some of you guys could point me in the right direction to get some hDDs for these machines without spending an arm and leg I would appreciate it. I suppose they don't have to be brand new since the computers will only run BOINC, and maybe a little backup for my media files since my external drives are full. Refurbished should be fine if I can trust the source.
I've appealed to friends and family and have got people to donate decent computers that aren't in use, to the cause of SETI@home. I got 3 decent machines this weekend alone and have more promised to me over the next couple of weeks!

Thanks!

Thanks for th super quick response gatekeeper! You are correct I didn't see my credits being "lost", I just couldn't see the completed task in my results any more. That answers my question.

For used equipment, Ebay might work.
