I have to admit that sometimes I think I am different to the majority of people. It was Celt and his Tim Bits that brought this on, because I don't like doughnuts, how different is that?

I also don't crave chocolate, in fact I actively avoid chocolate flavoured things, some of them actually make me vomit.

I prefer savoury to sweet any day.

I don't drink alcohol.
This is not though any conviction that I think it is bad. It started when I was just 21 and for various reasons I was promoted two ranks and put on to the maintenance team for high powered (up to 35kV in the transmitter) communications equipment. The maintenance team had 90% of the test equipment so it meant that we had to attend any fault that wasn't fixed within an hour. Some of the stations were 40 miles away from base over 3rd world country roads. It probably also helped that we were based in the same camp as the hospital and its staff, with about 200 unattached female nurses. After 4 years of that I just never got back into the habit of drinking, possibly because I was having too much fun.

So maybe I am different, how about you?

I find satisfaction in NOT being like everyone else.

I am a unique individual, just like everyone else.

(gotta respect others uniqueness too!)

I happen to KNOW I am different than most folks.....
Nobody else would live in my abode. What is the word I looking for...
MY house, MY abode, MY safe place.

Yes, nobody would dare intrude within my.....

You could not live like this. Only my kitties could understand. Computers and kibble tins strewn. Soda cans and empty whiskey bottles here and there.
Not a pretty sight.
But, it's where I live.

Yes, I am different than most folks.

And I freakin' both live and revel in it.

Most folks would not admit me to the world of 'diversity'...LOL.

Yeah I'm different, in real life I'm a loner, but not totally by choice, some cause of My skin makes Me stay inside(I'm susceptible to skin cancer), I was bullied when I was a kid(so I'm not too trusting, so I don't date(not that I haven't once, but that was a long time ago, I know of someone who asks about Me, but I'm not sure as to why She'd do that, as I'm no prize catch), but then who'd date Me? I'm not exactly in good shape anymore since I became disabled and heavy, I don't pity fools who are bigoted and delusional, I'm aware of My ancestry to a point & have made an effort to share & get that across to My living relatives of who they are. I'm a realist, but at the same time I'm not afraid of new ideas, unlike some who have closed and prejudiced minds. I can think for Myself and evaluate what I read, as I take nothing as gospel or on faith or for granted, Yeah I'm somewhat different, so what, isn't everyone? And I'm not presumptuous either as I don't presume to know the outcome of something in the future, hence that's why I might say niw instead of the opposite... And this is My 2nd attempt at posting here, the 1st I deleted...

I am as different as anyone else can be, and I understand that as a human that makes me just like every one else.
Maybe?

I'm not a loner in my real life. I actually have a large social group that I at least still talk to. I'm well liked at work and by people that know me.

That said, everyday people do not share the same interests as me. I have always had to be my own dog. It's hard finding people that have the same interests as me.

I live within and work within a social class that does not share my interests. I was probably the only kid in the 'hood programming a commodore or playing the original DOOM or building a homemade alarm system or soldering something.... That wasn't the easiest. But I had, and still have, my social life and friends, it's just that these two worlds always were and still are very separate. And I often am forced to choose my geek side over my friends, sometimes out of pure interest, but usually just because geek stuff is just far more stimulating to me.

'cause lets face it. Who, in my everyday life am I going to meet that likes Linux, computers, technology, electronics, circuitry etc.. :-)

At least in the online world I communicate and share ideas with like minded individuals, seeing as how that doesn't happen in my everyday life.

I tend to do my own thing, but also bearing in mind others opinions. Most people seem to like it, so I'll carry on ....

If I make a real friend it is for life, but make me an enemy and I don't forgive.

I make few friends, and fewer enemies.
Those I meet seldom forget me, and I, them.

Depends on gender.......a casual buss, or a rather casual glance, or a break down blow out. It has always been their choice. I never started a fight.

But, I never lost one, either.

I'm not at all different. I put my pants on every morning just like everyone else. Of course most other people don't need someone to tell them which is front and back, but I usually get them on eventually. On the days I don't, that's when I stand out in the crowd.

Yeah, Dalton, I hear you. I'll see you At The RoadHouse Broheim.

Different? No, I am not. I'm like every other Freak and Psycho out there. That statement will be enjoyed by SargeE4.

I love posting from Mom's Basement. Using her IP. Eating her food, etc.

I never talk to her anymore. She stays in The Attic. Dehydrated and Angry.

Last person who started a fight with me found themselves bound, gagged, and hanging from a tree by their shoelaces. Far more psychologically damaging than merely being beaten up, i hope.
