defense only goes so far when you are beating on a supposedly defenseless man. I assume that Martin assumed that same thing, that Zimmerman, as neighborhood watch, would be defenseless and easily subdued.

Sorry, Skil, but in the interest of equal time:
Did Zimmerman identify himself as neighborhood watch?.

most likely Martin already recognized Zimmerman if he had habituated the area. Heck, as far as we know, his friend that he was visiting could have told him about zimmerman being a barking dog. There's just to much we just don't know.

Trayvon Martin was not from Sanford, one of his parents' is. He went to the other parent's place after a suspension from school.

all the more reason for Zimmerman to be suspicious of a stranger wandering through his community

Skil -- yes an argument can be made for suspicious -- can one be made for use of deadly force after calling it in and be told not to pursue? I suspect that will be part of the prosecution case.

I agree he was incredibly zealous in his watch duties. One has to wonder if anyone thought or noticed him being a bit over vigilant in that duty

Right, if only if Zimmerman had been in Aurora...

Just as much a chuckle about Gingrich and the guy that was supposed to succeed him, eh?

Guy, you heard the same words I heard and I did not translate them as you did. Of course our life experiences are different. Mercifully I only spent a couple of years in the Marine Corps in the 60's not 27 years in the USAF.

Head Scratcher #n+1

Why is the main stream media trying to trap Romney with carefully worded and coordinated questions? Aren't they just supposed to report the news or do they have a bias towards the democrats?

Maybe they are trying to find out if he actually has some policies instead of a bunch of sheep chanting slogans....

Guy, you mean report news with a slant which conforms to your view of reality? Nope, if you own a news agency, you can do that though.
