I haven't been crunching for a while due to the high electric bill, but as my situation changes I am thinking of restarting it. I had two machines, one with a Fermi card (GTX 460) and one with 2x pre-Fermi cards (GTS 250). If I get back into it, I'll probably just use one machine. Last I checked, it was not recommended to mix a Fermi card and a non-Fermi card in one machine using the same BOINC client. I was using Lunatics optimized apps. Is it possible or recommended by now to mix this hardware together and have the right WUs go to the right apps? |

Yes No, not in answering the OP's question: Last I checked, it was not recommended to mix a Fermi card and a non-Fermi card in one machine using the same BOINC client.(emphasis by me ;-) Gruß, Gundolf |

Ah, thanks Vyper/Gundolf. I see that it is possible to use both cards in the same machine, but one should use different BOINC directories for each. That's a little bit of trouble, but at least it can be done. Thanks! |
