I haven't been crunching for a while due to the high electric bill, but as my situation changes I am thinking of restarting it. I had two machines, one with a Fermi card (GTX 460) and one with 2x pre-Fermi cards (GTS 250). If I get back into it, I'll probably just use one machine. Last I checked, it was not recommended to mix a Fermi card and a non-Fermi card in one machine using the same BOINC client. I was using Lunatics optimized apps. Is it possible or recommended by now to mix this hardware together and have the right WUs go to the right apps?

Yes

No, not in answering the OP's question:

(emphasis by me ;-)

Ah, thanks Vyper/Gundolf. I see that it is possible to use both cards in the same machine, but one should use different BOINC directories for each. That's a little bit of trouble, but at least it can be done. Thanks!
