Fellas, I have a GTX 680, 560 TI and 520. I want to run the gtx 680 and 560 with 3 WUs per GPU, and the 520 with 2 Wus/GPU. I was thinking the way to do this would be have two clients running, with the appropriate info in each of cc_config files and app_info files so that client 1 runs 2 wus on the 680 and 560 and client 1 runs 2 wus per 520. But the problem is that even when I put boinc in two different directories (Both the programdata and the program file)...the boincmgr.exe pulls up the same client each time! Can I not monitor two boinc processes from 2 boinc mngrs? In other words I can't get two managers to run at the same time, although at one point I was able to get two boinc.exe running...i had no way to monitor them outside of the cmdline...but haven't been able to repeat that since reinstallng. What am I doing wrong? WIndoys 7 64bit, tried using version 6.12, 7.0 and a combination of both. all three scenariors produce same results..i.e. can run and monitor two clients at same time. |

sorry for typos. help would be much appreciated. maybe instead of trying to figure out what i did wrong, someone can just explain how to run and monitor two boinc clients/managers from 1 pc....or even a better way to get 3wus on 1 gpu and 2 wus on another. |

You can edit your posts within an hour starting from creation time. ;-) As for your problem, I'm not sure, because I didn't ever try it myself, but I think with windows you'll have to delete the registry entries for the data directory to get the clients to pick different ones. And you'll have to start one with a different gui_rpc_port (the default one is "Pi" (31416)). And the BOINC manager should have a corresponding command line option, though I couldn't find one in the help display (boincmgr --help). Gruß, Gundolf Computer sind nicht alles im Leben.
