Hi, I just downloaded the SETI@home screensaver on my computer- I thought I was going to get the graphs and radio frequencies (I guess you could call it that..?) on my desktop, but nothing is coming up. It just says "No Running Tasks". Can someone help me?

Thanks.

You just got some tasks about an hour and a half ago, so things should be running now, unless you're experiencing download problems.

I am also having the same issue as the previous person. I downloaded the software about an hour ago and have not been able to do anything since. Hope you can help.

Same answer for you: you have been assigned three tasks around 29 Mar 2012 | 7:13:18 UTC, two AstrPulse and one MultiBeam ones. When they have finished downloading, two of them should be running on your computer.

Since you don't have a graphics device that is capable of crunching, you should also be able to see the graphics, either as screensaver or by clicking "Show graphics" for a running task.

Gruß,
Gundolf

Same issue with me. Does this take a few hours to start up?

The Seti project is a bit overworked. Too many computers all wanting work is more than the present 100Mbit connection can take and as such we're all waiting for the last computer in line to download its work before we can do so. As you can see in this graph, this has overworked the connection.

No, they won't be getting a better connection any time soon. We all have to have patience, eventually (enough) work will come in that work will start.

Or else add a backup project or two. Milkyway and Einstein both do "space work" as well.
