do i just let this thing keep transferring? the more I trasfer, the more tasks that come up. am I doing this wrong?

You should be assigned a few tasks that then are downloaded to your machine (transfer one direction). You then process the data. After that you transfer the result back to the server. Then the task is reported.

Rinse and repeat.

The number of tasks that you have assigned does not look like it is overly large.
