I'm just waiting on v6 wingmates to hurry up and crunch and report, but they're taking forever. I mean, c'mon.. From assigned to reported, I'm averaging like 26 hours.. can't everyone else do the same? :p Linux laptop: record uptime: 1511d 20h 19m (ended due to the power brick giving-up) |

Okay, so this must be an April Fool's joke (is still April 1st here, and in Berkeley). As of late, B6_P0 has a high likelihood to be 100% blanked, and of course, we all know B3_P1 is like 99% of the time 100% blanked. So I get assigned those today, and I suspend other stuff to get them to run and error out and report so I can get different ones.. and they actually work and crunch. A: Wednesday, about 11:00 CDT, which is when Arkayn started this thread, would be fairly close to the time I drove past the Motomart in Red Bud, Ill. However, needing neither gas nor to pee, and being in rather a hurry to get across the Mississippi before the steam train did, I didn't stop and buy a lottery ticket. :-( B: After it languished for several weeks down as low as ~390 tasks in progress, this morning I was surprised to find my i7 back up to its limit of 800. :-) David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri. |

We're back, Dudes and Dudettes. It was a short outage this week. Too much hormone treated meat. Too much Monsanto veggies. Too old and outdated constitution. A crazy problem, as you Yanks use to say...... There is no God, and God never existed. |

Holy cow! Almost 26 hours between posts to this thread??? And over 40 hours since the last substantive post. Something is seriously (not) the matter if we can all go that long without b*tching about something. Anyone else getting 'unable to contact server, project might be down' on attempts to get work? Got that last two attemps, prior attempt reulted in project has no work.. I've been out of GPU tasks for a bit:-/ Before the outage I got minimal ammounts of WU, far too few to carry me even part way through an outage. Not exactly. There are definately some DB-troubles. For example, a lot of WUs waiting for validation, assimilation etc... ![]() ![]() |

Not exactly. There are definately some DB-troubles. For example, a lot of WUs waiting for validation, assimilation etc... But the sched, upload & download servers appear ok.. And those should be what boinc is trying to contact AFAIK. Regards, Cliff, Been there, Done that, Still no damm T shirt! ![]() |

Every Tuesday after the outage, from time immemorial, there's been a logjam lasting from a few hours up to 12 hours or more, when connections to the servers are flakey at best, and totally impossible at worst. Why would this Tuesday be any different? I always wonder why it seems as if people becomes surprised every Tuesday. It reminds me of the first winter day each year, when the roads are slippery. Every year that too seems to take people by surprise. Edit: Jokingly I ask: Wassup dudes and dudettes? Is this some kind of Alzheimers Light, or what? LOL Too much hormone treated meat. Why would this Tuesday be any different? Nah, just the result of several hours of system upgrades and hassles with M$ activation paranoia and a shortage of WU prior to the outage.. Didnt see you asking about astropulse, so I guess your cache is more or less OK:-) Any idea where a good local clinic treating seti addiction might be found? Every Tuesday after the outage, from time immemorial, there's been a logjam lasting from a few hours up to 12 hours or more, when connections to the servers are flakey at best, and totally impossible at worst. Why would this Tuesday be any different? Bah, I've given up on AP, until we have the new opt MB V7 included in the next opt installer. Until then I take what I get, and give 50% of my computer time to the Beta project. When it comes to Seti addiction, I have the sad duty to inform you that there is no known cure for it. The only thing that helps, is to move permanently to a cottage deep in the wilderness, where there is no electricity, and no mobile internet coverage. Too much hormone treated meat. Too much Monsanto veggies. Too old and outdated constitution. A crazy problem, as you Yanks use to say...... There is no God, and God never existed. |

oh god , no electricity ... no computer... no internet .... Nah, you'll get used to it. Start training now, from here on it's downhill for the societies of this planet. When ET comes, She/he will put us all to work in salt mines on a distant planet, and I promise you that there will not be any Internet available to us slaves there.... And to finish this off, I'll add a mini whine: Where's the new MB 7 app? As I said before, I will not install AP 6, until MB 7 is released. Too much hormone treated meat. Too much Monsanto veggies. And to finish this off, I'll add a mini whine: That's likely going to be months away, Still waititing for the 6.98 app and the Cuda app, ;-) Claggy |

And to finish this off, I'll add a mini whine: Well, I can wait. I'm an expert in the waiting game :-) My RAC will drop like a stone here, when I dedicate 50% of my computers time to Beta, but in a hundred years, who will care about that?
