Just download the 0.40 Lunatics installer and run that,

Claggy

further to that

a) Don't you want to run AP 6 work? you are missing all the appropriate entries AND your ap 505 for ATI is missing the -v505 switch in the commandline.

b) you should replace r409 with r555/r557

c)I don't know why it's complaining, I don't think our app_info does that, but I can't spot what might be the difference [somebody else could - you've got r409 entries at the top and in the middle]

d) Just run the installer, you don't have any entries that you would lose, just slightly higher cmdline parameters (and you might wish to start from the lower values).

This might have something to do with it. Where did the 506 come from?

That's not a problem, early on app_info's had 506 referenced because the latest app was version 5.06 (the Linux Stock 5.06 CPU apps)

We put v506 in the Lunatics installer, too. Some app_infos flying around in the testing and optimising community bumped themselves up to v5.06 when the Linux app of that version was released as stock. We didn't want to leave those testers high and dry if they subsequently switched back to the 'unified' route.

try a fresh download and rerun of the 64 bit installer.
odd. sounds like aimerge is failing.

edit: doing the changes manually is tedious and errorprone. possible but best avoided unless you have a lot of experience in editing them things.

Double-check that you're installing to, and checking the results in, the folder in your working BOINC installation.

Message 1211044 - Posted: 28 Mar 2012, 13:52:04 UTC - in response to Message 1211019.

hi guys i have modified the app_info file and im not getting any errors in the event log in boinc ;-) thanks guys

will i receive all the new tasks as in seti@home v7 and astropulse v6 with the app_info that i have got ??????????

No. You have no references (in the required format) to either seti@home v7 or astropulse v6. You will also wreck (fail to validate) any existing Astropulse v505 work that you may have on the machine.

Please, do try running the installer again, if necessary changing the 'install to' location to somewhere simple and easy to find. That way, you'll get not only the app_info.xml file that you're struggling to get right, but also all the executable, .DLL and .CL files that need to go with it to make it all work - all in one handy package.
