Somehow I managed to get two accounts registered with the same email address. The original account ID, 575656, wouldn't login to Boinc, so it forced me to create a new one. Now on the website I can't login to the new user ID, 9706980, since it only logs in to the original. I really only want the original ID... is there something I can do to correct this mess?

Was the old one a Classic account? If so, there is a link on the SETI home page dealing with how to attach it to a new BOINC account.

I finally got it so I can login to the new Boinc account on the website, however it says that I can't link the classic account to the Boinc account b/c the classic account is active. Is there anything I can do?

Since you can't merge two BOINC accounts, you'll have to abandon one of them. I'd suggest to keep the one linked to your classic account (the one you are posting from). Now you'll only have to detach your computer(s) from the new account and attach (add) them to the older one, best after setting No New Tasks and either finishing or aborting the remaining tasks. Don't forget to report them before you detach.

Gundolf

Thank you both for your help. When my current tasks are finished, I'll try to get into the classic account again. Hopefully Boinc will let me login to it this time. Thanks again!
