I see he's rightly named. Barracking another country for launching a satellite after destroying America's position in space. Why shouldn't other countries take up the mantle as the US has given up. And if anyone states that they haven't, then explain why American Astronauts are taken to the ISS by Russian craft! " 3. barrack - laugh at with contempt and derision; "The crowd jeered at the speaker" jeer, scoff, flout, gibe, bait, tantalise, tantalize, taunt, razz, twit, tease, cod, rag, rally, ride - harass with persistent criticism or carping; "The children teased the new teacher"; "Don't ride me so hard over my failure"; "His fellow workers razzed him when he wore a jacket and tie" " |

" 3. barrack - laugh at with contempt and derision; "The crowd jeered at the speaker" Then go back & read the link you provided. They're launching a satellite not a nuke. As for the quote... it was a pun on his name.....opps, how clear does one have to get or is my sense of humour that off? |

Indeed, it is only a satellite -- though you might be surprised at the overlap between satellite launching technology and ICBM launching technology. Some (not you clearly) might be concerned regarding that overlap in the context of a country with nuclear capabilities. I suppose you (along with everyone else) would have no concerns if the Israeli's launched a satellite as well for the same reasons.

Why shouldn't these countries provide their own satellites? Is the US really that arrogant? Why do you think that Europe has started their own GPS satellite services - because the US held a stranglehold on the original service. It seems to me that the US alongside her "little but useless" poodle are attempting to become the world's no 1 dictatorship. It also looks like the many fields of endeavor the US created (or improved upon) are the sole preserve of the US & other countries be damned. With all that has been happening over the past several decades, the US has targetted "little countries" How is it that you never attempted what you're doing now with Russia or China? Was it the fact that you would have ended up with more than a bloody nose? |

I didn't start this thread to have it end up in yet another USA bashing exercise. If that is what some people wish to do, then please go and start a suitable thread elsewhere. go back & read message 1210137 AND lately, you seem to be a USA poodle. THIS is the politics thread & the posts I've made are very relevant. |
