Anyone else havin' problems accessing their account since server outage this afternoon? When I click on "Your Account" I get:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: is_valid_email_addr() in /disks/koloth/raid5_b/users/boincadm/projects/sah/html/inc/user.inc on line 63

I'm receiving the same error when I try to log in. All of the server apps, including the "data-driven web pages," show Condition Red (down). Berkeley will get things fixed as soon as possible, just hold your horses.

I did have a Result upload, just now. It apparently made the trip successfully, but I just blocked network access to prevent the report being sent. Once the servers and apps are back up, I will send the report.

Cheers,

Stephen

And this explains why we can't access our account? Granted, the problem the tech news discusses is probably why we can't access our account. But it says "everything is back up and running now", which obviously isn't the case.

Hopefully the project will see this thread that Aardvark started.

You may see the following:
/disks/koloth/raid5_b/users/boincadm/projects/sah/html/inc/user.inc
and also on the server status page: file deleter - koloth - not running
When koloth is up, the accounts would be recognized, I think
EDIT: Everything is OK now

Nope.. this was an entirely separate problem than what was going on with the projects/database. Just a typo in one of the .php pages. I fixed it.

Yes. The line:

require_once("../inc/email.inc")

..was missing.

email.inc contains the is_valid_email_addr function.
Not sure why it was missing, but others were doing development
on it while everything else was going on and probably deleted
the line by accident. No biggie.

Neither is the Assimilator, and they've not been running the last couple of days. From the tech-news 17. November, they're preparing a new master database, so a possible explanation is they're waiting till this new database is up before re-enabling the Assimilator.

BTW, then the Assimilator is down, there's little point for the file_deleter to run, since a wu must be assimilated before wu & results can be deleted. Even for wu erroring-out the Assimilator must be run before atleast the wu can be deleted from download-directory, not sure for error-result-files...

edit - looks like the Assimilator now is up again...
