Once or twice we have had to light candles and stoke up the fire place due to the lack of electrons on the house wires.
Lucky for us it happened in the colder part of the year.
I must admit that we somewhat lamented the return of the power as we were sitting together on the couch to help stay warm.

Had a power cut a couple of months ago, it lasted for about two hours. For about ten minutes before that the pump in my aquarium suddenly became very noisy, my TV actually dimmed in brightness and then, poof, no power. Candles to the rescue, and a game on my laptop.

Oh, and a win when the power came back :)
