Message 1229703 - Posted: 9 May 2012, 20:41:35 UTC - in response to Message 1228919.

Just got wind of a project that may end up being bigger than our server fundraisers. We're just waiting on the specs at the moment before announcing/running this one.

More very soon I hope!

Brad, this thread is getting a bit long (this is post 161) and old (started March 21). May I suggest a new thread for the new fundraising project?

Yep. I typically put up a new thread when we start new projects or this one just gets gigantic. Once we kick it off we'll move to a new one :)

Small bit o news:

We've renewed our domain names for another 2 years.

Eric's KVM switch has shipped.

Lastly we should be getting specs for the big project any day now. I think they like to keep me waiting :(

He actually picked out this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817107416 with the requirements being 4 port, USB, most of the inputs/outputs on the back.

Phil added an easy to use newsletter signup system this morning for everyone. Just go to http://www.gpuug.org, look at the left side of the main page and you'll see a small field where you can simply put in your address, select the newsletters you want and click submit.

No real news on my end today. I've been soliciting various companies for most of the day in preparation for our big project and in hopes of some price breaks/donated equipment for some of our smaller ones.

I hope everyone's having a great weekend!
