It is. I am now seeing it on HBO. At first it was pay-per-view, but now it's on HBO. I've seen it several times, and I like it more each time. It's one of those movies where you feel good at the end, but with a twist.

No HBO here, at least not for OTA on UHF. It's on Amazon for $10.49 w/FREE shipping, one day soon enough and I'll get it.

No raccoons here (other than in zoos and personal collections.

We have Ducks.
Now as most are aware Ducks live by water.
They swim very well.
They dive.
On land they are a bit less elegant.
They have two legs and two feet.
They "don't do trees"
They don't stray far from water (other then when migrating)

But I sit here watching one sitting on the ridge of the house opposite.
When he stands he stands on ONE leg, alternating legs.
He has two legs because every few minutes he walks along the ridge on them. Then a few minute later he walks back to where he started.
This is repeated for about an hour in the morning before he flies off, presumably the mile or so the the nearest pond or stream.

He is a male Mallard, and one morning I'll remember to have my camera to hand...

Every spring, about this time, many lose their Internet connections due to the migrating labraducks roosting on the wires.

It is also the best time of year to catch catfish.

Rob, this time of year we get lots of mallards passing through on their migration, using the scummy water on top of pool covers as resting and hooking up spots. It is quite common, in the spring, to see mallards perched on a roof top around here, checking out a pool before, um, well, diving in.

We are currently in phase one of this, as males and females pair up in the pools, then head off to a more suitable mating ground. Phase two should start in a few weeks: the "loser males" (as we have come to call them) will finally work up the nerve to come down off the roofs and gather in the pools. We will get up to half a dozen at one time, swimming around and making lots of noise, but not accomplishing anything. I half expect to find empty beer bottles and cigarette butts around the pool after they leave.

This will all end in another few weeks, as everyone gets the pool covers off. Apparently clean water is much less attractive to a mallard.

When on my boat I always feed orange marmalade sandwiches to the ducks - It saves a little time marinading them for duck a la orange....
