0.9.2 1-Jul-2004 ( Canada Day Release )

What's New

- Use Boinc's RPC API to get the client_state information ( No more -109 errors )
- Minimal support for the predictor@home project. Support the statistical side.
- In the Queue tab if you select the project Node, stats will show for that project.
- Database Agent processing has been significantly been changed to support projects
that have significant jumps in the progress of the WU. I was missing all the predictor WU's.
- Database Agent will display warnings if the project being analysed is not supported.

What's Fixed.

- If the project is not one of the following {"SETI@home", "BOINC Beta Test", "BOINC Alpha Test"}, do not display the seti progress results in the viewer.

As usual the location is:

http://www3.telus.net/BoincSpy

Please read the readme.txt for installation/upgrade instructions. Please ensure you remove the assembly cache first and then reinstall it.

Thanks and enjoy.

Note: I hope to add support more languages at a rate of ~1 every 2 weeks.

why would you run another program on your computer when all the info is on the boinc client?
seti classic was one thing, but boinc does not need any addons

I cant get it to work. Even if BOINC is running BoincSpy still says BOINC is not working. This didnt happen in the older versions. Any solutions?

Appears to be an issue if you are running win9x or windows me. I will have a fix this week...

I am using BOINC's GUI RPC and seems to not run on those platforms...

Jeff-
Because the BOINC platform will eventually be used for various DC applications, there will be all kinds of dedicated add-ons that will be appearing for the program- not only for S@H but for each attendant app that runs in BOINC.
Many will involve the generated stats and others will be performance monitors, skymaps, signal evaluators, projections, all manner of charts and graphs, tonal generators, graphic depictions of whatall and I bet a large collection of goofy stuff that some talented people cant resist developing just for the doing of it. Some of these programs will be of value and others will not- I'm looking foward to seeing what shows up as the platform gains the stability to support the inventiveness of the community....cc

Yes it is. Even if I leave BOINCspy on for a few minutes it still says BOINC not running.

What I know so far, its not a win98 / winme issue.

Hmm this has been reported twice before, sorry for more questions:

Do you have preferences set to run boinc only at certain times?
Does the CPU time increment for the wu in boinc_gui?
Did you suspended boinc_gui at all?

The one thing to try is to enableDebug and send me the log file... To enable:

create the following tag within the appsetings tag..

add key="enableDebug" value="true"

Incase this with the usual begin tag end tag delimeters... Darn message board erases them.

...It will create a BoincSpy.log file.

Send me about 5 minutes of log file...

Thanks..
