From previous.. It's going to be interesting to see how close to zero results out in the field we get for AP, before they start sending out new AP workunits. As of now, we have 86,770 AP results out in the field. I assume this will also mean that it will be many many months before there's a checkbox on the preferences page specifically for v6, as well. I mean, we all know what happened for 505... ____________ Linux laptop uptime: 1484d 22h 42m Ended due to UPS failure, found 14 hours after the fact

From previous.. so how we will able to tell the server we accept those v6 ? :P ____________
| ID: 1202559 · | |
From previous.. Two ways. "accept work from other applications" and hope for getting a few even if you have MB unchecked. Or.. in combination with that, edit your app_info so that you only have an app for v6. If the server tries giving you MB, it'll see that you don't have anything that can crunch it, so it won't assign them to you. I had to do that with my app_info for v505, and still do, except now I can uncheck "accept work from other applications." It's all in the app_info. ____________ Linux laptop uptime: 1484d 22h 42m Ended due to UPS failure, found 14 hours after the fact

From previous.. May I make a suggestion? Talk regarding to AP versions 6 & 7 should be moved to a new thread IMHO. Reason being I can't see any relevance to 'current' server problems. Am I missing something? ____________ Live in NZ y not join Smile City?

SAH-assimilators are sleeping drunken. 35,290 waiting for assimilation. It's time for panic, I'm sure! :)

Somebody must be reporting tasks, because my 'pending' is going down, and my credit is going up. I'm getting a consistent "Internal server error" on one of my machines only. the other 3 can connect and report without any problems. Strange.... ____________ /The grumpy old Swede. OK, let's try to narrow it down. My hosts are typically running app_info, with applications for MB on both CPU and NVidia - but no astropulse (I periodically get 'your app_info has no entry for AP_505'). And preferences set to GPU only, not CPU. Others?

And preferences set to GPU only, not CPU. Others? One host running app_info with AP MB and CUDA (but for now only runs CUDA and AP, set by when needing AP or CUDA changing settings at "SETI@home preferences") can connect. The other with the same kind of app_info and also only for the moment running only AP and CUDA, consistently gets "Internal server error". Edit: And since I do have AP in my app_infos I do not get the 'your app_info has no entry for AP_505' ____________ /The grumpy old Swede. No change in the applications installed on the server. No change in the choices available on the preferences pages. My successful report was on the same venue as the ISE failures.
