@ Ivan (previous Panic thread, message 1198565) Only a logged-in user can see host names, and then only for hosts attached to the account they're logged in to. So none of us can tell which your HomePC01 is. And for anyone else shoulder-surfing, and worrying about privacy - compare what you can see in host_details for your own machine, with what you can see for somebody else's - feel free to try mine, for example. I think many people keep their machines hidden because they misunderstand that - and that makes troubleshooting much harder than it needs to be. |

@ Ivan (previous Panic thread, message 1198565) Ah, OK, I wasn't aware of that -- guess I don't look at others' machines with any great intensity. [Edit] Anyways, moot now, everything has got through after the latest stop-'n'-go so now I just need tasks to my dry Supermicro to help ease it over the 10M mark. Just an old Win machine that probably needs a DNS tickle still to report in now.[/Edit] ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Completed tasks have all been reported here and now I'm sucking up new work as fast as I can get it. :D Cheers. |

Work is starting to flow in here. AP for my CPU's and ATI card, as well as MB for my CUDA cards. Too much hormone treated meat. Too much Monsanto veggies. Too old and outdated constitution. A crazy problem, as you Yanks use to say...... There is no God, and God never existed. |

I wonder how long the web result pages are going to stay disabled. I know it's for the greater good, but I'm trying to build a spreadsheet of all of my AP tasks here. :p I've reported 6 of them and can't fill out some entries in my spreadsheet for them. I need my statistical data! [/panic] We'll see if it gets turned back on remotely once the replica catches up. If not and gets turned on in the morning at the lab, I should still be able to get the data from those tasks. As long as they're still listed. I've noticed some <24-hour purges following the maintenance downtime before. Linux laptop: record uptime: 1511d 20h 19m (ended due to the power brick giving-up) |

Yes. Nice to always have something to crunch on. But who are getting the results back? If three cars are waiting at a traffic stop for the green light when it is only the red light that is showing up, definitely there is not a problem when the green light eventually shows up. But make it 20 cars and only 10 slip through each time. What if 10 extra cars come up behind and there are still getting only 10 cars across the street when the next green light is showing up? Not a good cycle of events. |

How's this Steve? That's all wrong. These large, friendly letters should be uppercase and on the cover of a book, not a button;) |

Oh. bg_score = bg_chisq * peak There are no secrets in open source software: score = lcgf(0.5*gauss_dof,std::max(gi.g.chisqr*0.5*gauss_bins,0.5*gauss_dof+1)) -lcgf(0.5*gauss_dof,swi.analysis_cfg.gauss_chi_sq_thresh*0.5*gauss_bins) -lcgf(0.5*null_dof,std::max(gi.g.null_chisqr*0.5*gauss_bins,0.5*null_dof+1)) +lcgf(0.5*null_dof,swi.analysis_cfg.gauss_null_chi_sq_thresh*0.5*gauss_bins); And of course this has nothing to do with servers. Saw this in my messages tab and said "wait.. what?!" 2012-02-23 01:30:08|SETI@home|Sending scheduler request: To fetch work.
