I have my preferences set to run always, and when the computer is in use. However, every time I move my mouse it pauses, and won't start back up for about 5 minutes. It NEVER used to do this? Would appreciate any help. |

Check again BOINC Manager - Preferences If even after restart of BOINC this continues the easiest to do is from menu: Activity -> Run always  - ALF - "Find out what you don't do well ..... then don't do it!" :)  |

Thank you! That was it. It was set to "Run based on preferences" instead somehow. Now I can get crackin! That means that your preferences weren't what you thought they were. BOINC WIKI |

It is not wrong for it to be set to "Run based on preferences" (if preferences are set correctly) I don't know why they didn't work the way you want them in your case, more info needed e.g. contents of global_prefs_override.xml file. You may read about all menus/tabs/preferences here: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Advanced_view http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Preferences  - ALF - "Find out what you don't do well ..... then don't do it!" :)  |
