Having visited many a British (and Scottish) pub in my travels, i find myself just as comfortable in one than an American-style pub. Especially since I developed a taste for British-style ales, and lost my taste for American lagers.

...Siting by the lake, fishing-rod in hand, line in the water and with the
sun beating down on your back then there's nothing finer than a can of
ice cold Budweiser....Fantastic fishing in the lake.

Hmmm. Last time we ordered a quantity of Toblerone, it stayed on the shelf for ages ....

Hmm?...Toblerone....verrrrry 70's...it was a fad chocolate, a chocolate of the
time very much like Blue Nun wine was.....verrry-verrry 70's.
The only acceptable thing that stays on our shelves for a long time is the
fine high quality inlaid veneers.

This Swiss chocolatier most definitely doesn't package their taste bud tickers in triangular shapes....

I've never visited here. So thought I'd drop in and say hey.

Hey.

It's your club so visit any time you like. Remember, tea, coffee & biscuits
freely available in the lounges, just help yourself.

But it looks so... British, in here. ;-)

And that is a problem because...?

It is run primarily by our British mates, so why wouldn't it be?

Having visited many a British (and Scottish) pub in my travels, i find myself just as comfortable in one than an American-style pub. Especially since I developed a taste for British-style ales, and lost my taste for American lagers.

In fact, I could go for a pint of Fuller's and a plate of sausage rolls for a bed-time snack.

I never said it was a problem, lol.

I prefer imported beer. Never really enjoyed a domestic, unless of course it's from a good microbrewery.

I thought that was reserved for clearing the drains...

Mike's in, wetting his whistle as one would say.
For those not familiar with that termination, it means having a drink, one
that contains alkey-hole....

Oh yes, Bavarian beers brewed in the old traditional way's that all beers,
once upon-a-time, were made. Of course, it goes without question, the club
bars naturally stock Bavarian beers as was directed by our German committee member,
upon the clubs formation and all buildings constructed, now quite some time ago.

Monday morning coffee for me.

Plenty in the lounges, Monday, as usual. Some of the early newspapers have
arrived, full of the news about the French elections from what I've seen so
far.

up in the cosy several weeks ago....Chris saw you (ha-ha).
