OK, have arranged a fresh shipment, coming directly from Switzerland. The Swiss say that this will not be their standard export flavoured brand but a higher quality type normally only available within Switzerland itself. Hi Gang! I have been asked to come back while our good Friend John Clark is recuperating, First and foremost Rocky's Is and will always be a tribute to our good friend and a great Guy Rocky McCudd. Rocky was a Fearless, Talented amazing Human Being. He was faced with many of life's obstacles and challenges as we all have I am sure. But the biggest was his health problems. Rocky and I shared many of those Health challenges. Rocky along with my Father spurred me on to overcome many of them. Sadly Rocky passed on as well as some good friends here on the Seti Boards. I will be back I just keep getting interrupted. |

Uli should be pleased with that lot :-) Will one box (or even three boxes) be sufficient for the weekend, surely we will need a couple of CASES at the very least Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Uli should be pleased with that lot :-) Logistics is becoming a concern with respect to the confectionery shop. Due to it's ever growing popularity the store is finding it quite problematic in handling the number of clientele who frequently visit it. I'm hoping that committee member Chris may be able to remedy this situation with a possible future redevelopment of this retail section. Will have to see what he makes of this whole situation on his next club inspection. They will be on display near where you find the cases of Edelkakaos Der Welt schokolade. Hmm, We really must investigate the expansion plans as well as the re-fit plans. Storage is at a premium, I've had to double up (or is it treble up??) the South African, Australian and New Zealand wines, and I'm dreading the punch up that's going to cause among the bottles. We now have 4km of shelves dedicated to bottled African beers alone, and that lot has to be kept at just the right temperature or it can get "quite exciting". Fortunately the conditions are very similar to those required by the Bud and other American "light" beers, but not as cold as the Australian - which live in a "warm freezer". I am glad to say that the new UK real ale store is working a treat, and we've had no more problems of bursting barrels, which resulted in some nasty injuries to staff involved in the clear up operation (foot long splinters of oak barrel embedded in the oak cellar doors....) So where do we put the chocolate, its got to be a temperature controlled area, but must not be too cold, and we need of fairly small shelves so we can grab the bars in a hurry (we must no keep the ladies waiting...) Oh well, back to polishing the nice new glasses and brass pumps ;-) Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Whew, That was a hectic couple of minutes - fourteen Pan Glactic Gargle Blasters ordered by one customer/victim. I did warn him, but he insisted. He only got half way down number three before the floor greeted him in the face. Good news is I'd only made three by then so there was no wastage; bad news is we've got some bad blood stains to get rid of on that nice white maple floor that John so painstakingly had installed as part of the last refit. The customer is currently being looked after by a number of paramedics, who think he will survive as he had less than three - I'm really glad I'm a slow cocktail shaker. Hmm, Phase 1 is now going a-head, Chris finally signed the plans off as Uli has decided now on how the ladies bath room/restroom is to be laid out. Phase 1 mainly covers the American quarter since this section fell short of what was to be expected after last years 4th July celebrations. This quarter was found to be woefully under-sized for the amount of members present for that very important occasion. Chris will be carrying out his usual 6 monthly service inspection shortly and is keen to look for further improvements in the whole outfit especially where improvements to building services are concerned. He knows that the confectionery retail outlet is now under-size and will have made himself aware now of your clear observations too. I look forwards to seeing his phase 2 expansion plans once these have been discussed between him and the other committee members. I forgot to mention earlier-on that Lindt is also sending us, free of charge, a large box of their new line in chocolate drinks. When they arrive these will be placed in the Germans lounge (Gesellschaftsraum & Keller). If you wish to sample one of these then do pop into the Gesellschaftsraum and try one. We chose to make these drinks available only in the Gesellachaftsraum since, being the biggest consumers in the world of hot chocolate drinks, the Germans would naturally wish to handle this drink from their quarter. Being conasaurs on all things pertaining to chocolate beverages we await their report on whether we go ahead and stock this product. Gesellschaftsraum & Keller does seem to be a rather long title for the German quarter but it will be down to Mike to decide if he wishes to give his quarter a different title or not. I like it for it sounds typically German and the name is nice and long.
