That sounds about right for most meetings we've had...

Most are actually timed to occur in the thirty seconds between the doors opening and the bar starting to serve

Only time it got "interesting" was when we were discussing the cellar extension below the bank vaults....

No news from John on the matchbox yet...

Sorry the matchbox is a thing of the past along with the minutes.

My eldest son was keeping his pet beetle in that matchbox, which are scarce in a non-smoking home.

I spoke with him yesterday, and it appears he dropped the matchbox when vaulting over a field fence and landed on the matchbox, and killing his dearly beloved pet.

He will not answer regarding the meeting minutes we wrote on the inside, nor what he did in disposal of the said item.

We believe he held a cremating ceremony for his beloved pet just before his actual 42nd birthday.

Now let's think.
Sparky looks after the wiring and electrics
I look after the bar
Chris is the Secretary
John is i/c building maintenance (major projects)
Nick & Simonator are "ordinary members" with no specific portfolio

Treasurer must be the vacancy then...

I almost forgot the two female "ordinary members" (who most certainly have portmanteaux if not portfolios..)

Can't read my own shorthand - it might be "honorary" when I squint again.

That is indeed a good question, who indeed is signing the cheques - not only those for the builders, but also the food and drink suppliers, and the staff wages...

I didn't realise the Treasurer post is unfilled. Is that why Claggy keeps coming to me for cheque signatures for the building works?

Please not purple. Now some lilac in a vase would be nice, while it is in season. That brings me to the point, what is the status of the flower garden in the back?

I like to see a blue and white theme. Shouldn't you lot also awaite other Ladies input.

Can we have a point of order here, if possible, "issue"...."Who's going to
do the gardening"?

Haven't they started yet...
I hope they do so soon as during the summer months there are a lot of folks who enjoy to "roam around" in the open air (particularly among some of the more elaborate aromatic shrubs

Just invite Dune!

He would clear the weeds, the shrubbery and much else beside (no charge).

Or is that "on a charge of wanton destruction?"

Patio furniture? BBQ?

btw The cat we got as a mouser for the cellars turned out to be a she.
I'm afraid she is using the snooker table as a nursery.
That happens if you guys hide the key and don't play often enough!

On the plus side we now have a set of adorable kittens.

So an agreement has been reached to prevent the tanker strike, according to BBC News. Must have given the Wincanton drivers a new pair of Hush Puppies.

I am OK John, I just lost my dad 2 weeks ago so I am going through all the crap that happens with that. Its been hard since dad and I had coffee every day for 9 yrs. I miss him giving me a hard time and giving me the finger. I still do a lot of Pics of the Bennington Area and taking care of my beautiful Smart Daughter. I do miss you all and decided to crunch a few so you don't forget me..lol

That is something we cannot do - forget our Tim.

Sheila and I are sorry to hear of your recent loss, and will be with you in our thoughts.

Again, we are very happy to hear you continue to enjoy the company of your daughter, and continue being the official/unofficial taker of picture records of Bennington.

If you still have Skype, you should join some of us in a "getting to know you/catch up with what has happened" over the last 3 to 4 years.

As you can see I still use the Avatar you crafted for me those many years ago, during SETI Classic.
