Again we are restarting this thread as the Cafe was getting Mingy and filthy, not to say the quality of the drink and food. The new Cafe has been fumigated, polished, redecorated, swept and restocked with food and drink. As ever John you've done a superb job. Not one for the faint hearted, but one that has to be done from time to time. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Ooo, I like this new toy John. Perfection every time, and a lot smoother to operate than the old one, which was probably getting near the end of its life.... Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Good evening to you, Jeremy. Good to hear John. :-) Weather has been really weird on my side of the USA. This winter we haven't had much snow, which is always needed. I'm hoping in the coming weeks we get more, I want to see our lakes remain as full as possible, as all our water comes from a couple of them. That and our fire season will be crazy if we don't get some moisture down on the ground. Anyhow, back to doing some cleaning, trying to catch up with what my wife left me. Dishes and the rest of the laundry. LOL |

Hi Jeremy Looks similar here. The Government are meeting about a potential water shortage our side of the UK as we have had two dry winters needed to restock the resevoirs. It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues |

I hope we don't have a hosepipe ban, I've got spuds to water. Member of the People Encouraging Niceness In Society club. |

Never understood how the UK can have a hosepipe ban. Have they not looked at a map, whe're surrounded by the stuff. Sure it's a bit salty, but in this day and age that shouldn't pose a problem. Life on earth is the global equivalent of not storing things in the fridge. |

I think a cup of it would be a bit more salt than the recommended daily amount. So a few de-salinisation plants and jobs a good 'un. Member of the People Encouraging Niceness In Society club. |

Sure, it uses quite a lot of energy, but there's plenty of that around too. In fact, a tidal energy powered desalination plant seems quite appropriate. Life on earth is the global equivalent of not storing things in the fridge. |

Left to its own water from that source would probably be able to desalinate itself - Or something less pleasant Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

I don't know about you, but I could do with a strong coffee laced with something even stronger. Warning - you may get a caffeine shock. |

I don't know about you, but I could do with a strong coffee laced with something even stronger. I wondered why this morning's coffee had a metallic after taste - then I saw what was left of the spoon... I'm not saying it was strong, but the spoon was somewhat miss-shapen, and eroded... I don't know about you, but I could do with a strong coffee laced with something even stronger. You should stop using silver plate and be like us commoners and use stainless steel. |

Ah, that's what I did wrong - grabbed a stainless one in the hurry to get the caffeine up to working levels, should have gone for one of the pure silver ones... Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |
