Well... After the gross misconduct of 'scientists' worldwide, exposing them as the grant-whores many of them are, producing faulty work, and covering up honest dissent by ruthless and destructive means, it would be only prudent to muzzle them. Honestly, i would like to see science take a step back, into the privately funded, philanthropic endeavor which is necessary for honest results. Offering 100 million dollar grants for a pointed study which, "Determines the effects of global warming on male ego", not only presupposes the existence of global warming, but is almost certain to get you a result that will warrant another 100 million dollar study... |

Well... oh...my..god... They really got to you didn't they? There was no 'gross misconduct'. That was shown to be a propaganda stunt funded by the oil companies to muddy an issue that isn't muddy at all. If you hate scientists so much why are you even on this project? And please tell me who gets these 100 million dollar grants. Reality Internet Personality |

Report from the BBC They want to be able to exploit all the Alberta oil. Anything that tells them that this is a bad idea is going to be shot down. You just have to look at how they handle the asbestos industry here. Money talks. Reality Internet Personality |

I can see you posted on the discussion board without any intention of actually engaging in a discussion, so i will leave you to enjoy your post. That said, I take people at their word. When i read an email written by a man, who discusses corrupt behavior for the purposes of corrupting a process, i accept his own words on it. Enjoy your posting with yourself. Cheers!~ As a Canadian i apologize to the rest of the "World" for the the government we at present have. As an American, i do the same!~ |

I think it has flunked the Turing test. Indeed it failed to realize that Es99 was engaging with its comments about "the gross misconduct of 'scientists' worldwide" by highlighting that this is a regurgitation of a line of argument to mask the truth of the matter. The science of those scientists involved in an email "scandal" was sound. The gross misconduct is from those that seek to perpetuate the myth that a few silly emails amount to sufficient grounds for ignoring the science. Seems its blinders aren't confined to "Poor America". I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ... |

And please tell me who gets these 100 million dollar grants. That's the only one I can think of....and even then the individual scientists aren't getting that much money. They'd probably be better off going and driving a minicab for a living. Reality Internet Personality |
