looks like a scam to me. Reminds me of the Tesla scam now making the rounds via the internet.

The headline is typical reporter hyperbole, but in the article they talk about very low power applications like clocks and remote-controls. Hardly 'eliminating batteries'.

That will please the battery makers if it works ...... Nice article Chris, this only the beginning of what I see as leading us to the eventual source of all our power and energy requirements of the future. There's an immense amount of free energy around us and in space just waiting for us to develop the technology to tap into it. In two hundred years time humans will look back at us and think how fairly primitive we were then with regards to the technology we used to generate our power. ____________ The Kite Fliers -------------------- Kite fliers: An imaginary club of solo members, those who don't yet belong to a formal team so "fly their own kites" - as the saying goes.

there is no abundance of free power. Solar is the most intense and it is of low quality (temperature) and therefore will be difficult to harness efficiently.

Solar power is yesterdays discovery....we've only just turned the fourth corner on the Chiliagon of scientific discoveries yet to be made. A hell of a lot of corners yet to be turned here, a hell of a lot of new discoveries just waiting to be made....I very much suspect I know what one of them will be? ____________ The Kite Fliers -------------------- Kite fliers: An imaginary club of solo members, those who don't yet belong to a formal team so "fly their own kites" - as the saying goes.

I have wondered from time to time whether our bodies generate or could be made to generate a mild electrical current that could power certain low power devices such as cell phones, watches and etc.

I have a backpack with solar cells which load a battery I can use to recharge my cell phone. But I think it's not strong enough to recharge my Sony camera, also the cables provided do not fit the camera, so I cannot even try.

You should be good to go for about 500W :-) Keep searchin', Martin ____________ Mandriva Linux A user friendly OS! See new freedom Mageia2 The Future is what We make IT (GPLv3)

I have wondered from time to time whether our bodies generate or could be made to generate a mild electrical current that could power certain low power devices such as cell phones, watches and etc. If you get a multimeter out you can see that your body does generate some voltage. However, it's rather small. From the left pointer finger to the right pointer finger I'm generating about 25 mV right now.
