Hi,

My machine has a 6 core AMD Phenom X2 + 16GB or RAM + 2 x ATI 6970 2GB in Crossfire.

I notice the tests utilizes all 6 cores to 100% and uses about 10-12 GB of RAM which is great but there is zero activity on my graphic cards. Do I need a plug-in and a add-on to use ATI graphic cards? Does SETI@Home take advantage of ATI GPU?

Thanks...
Behnam

There are no native ATI GPU apps. You'll need to use the Lunatics Installer to get apps that work for ATI GPU's

... and uses about 10-12 GB of RAM

No way, every SETI CPU task/app uses only about 30-40 MB of RAM, it just don't need more.

Thanks but where can I get the latest Lunatics Installer? Do I need to uninstall Bonic SETI@Home first and install this fresh or it can be installed on top of my installed default Bonic?

Actually, it must be installed on top of BOINC...

Get Windows Installer v0.39 64 bit (for your Win 7 64 bit system with ATI GPU):
http://lunatics.kwsn.net/index.php?module=Downloads;catd=9

See also the Installer v0.39 Readme and the info here:
http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=66241

After the install the SETI apps will no more update automatically to new versions (which are expected in the next months)

So visit the Lunatics Downloads weekly/monthly to check for new Windows Installers
