SETI@home Project Scientist Eric Korpela has published a blog entry in the Huffington Post's new science section. Other Berkeley SETI bloggers may follow. Depending upon the response we may only blog there, may restrict blog entries here to things directly related to SETI@home, or we may duplicate the posts here. Let us know what you think.

I checked out the link, found lots of interesting stuff, but nothing about SETI@Home . . .

First, there appears to be some sensitivity among some crunchers for SET@home to confusion between the project and SETI Institute, two separate institutions. As you may know, SETI Institute has been publishing at Huffington Post for quite some time.

The Huffington Post offends me with all of it's politically biased news and commentary. I'm new to SETI Home and I was very excited about it, but if I find more affiliations with Huffington I will probably just stop participating in the project. Sorry, but I have strong feelings about the subject.

Sorry, but I have strong feelings about the subject. And how fast would you leave SETI@Home if you were told that the majority of participants here, are either liberals, communists, or socialists? Would you detach in micro seconds, seconds, or minutes? Edit: Interesting first post btw. Coming in here and telling a project scientist in which media he should not publish his articles. Geeze.... ____________ /The grumpy old Swede. "I'm so old, that 98% of all trees in the forest, are younger than I am"

We have a politics section for all you liberal, socialist/ communists. So long as you keep your ideas there and off the main blogs I don't care. I'm not much for the HuffPost blog either but I'm not going to quit SETI just cause you post there. I doubt I'll be seeing your posts over there though.

That's my feeling too. There have been about 5 people who have written blogs titled "Are we alone?" since the first of the year, so that topic will have to wait.
