And now uploads have gone back to a lottery, with very low odds of success.

Uploads are working, but so far I can receive headers for wu's from the scheduler, but I can't download any of the 58 wu's that Boinc is trying to get.

Never mind, a hole opened up... At long last.

They've done some work there.

Let's hope everything they have changed/upgraded works immedetiately
and forever. :)

Looking at the server status page, I see the new nitpicker_smallsig process now has 4 instances, the old nitpickers are all gone, and rfi is now 4 instances; wasn't it either 3 or 6 before?

Is this Belgium, then??

Watch your language!

(Okay, totally off topic... Does anybody know why the whole Belgium gag was dropped from later printings of the book, and even from DNA's own narration of the audiobook?)

Oh, kwap.

The servers have not done a good job of keeping the kitties fed overnight, and they have wandered off with my best rig to munch on Einstein.

I think that 208.68.240.18 boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu has a cramp. someone should give it a massage. :-)

One of my systems has been having trouble downloading wu's. When I enable
208.68.240.13 boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu in that systems hosts file, downloads work.

We've seen this happen before.

I'm not sure the 'load sharing' bit between the download servers has ever worked quite right.

I'm guessing that's why they want a single new server.

I am also seeing a fair number of scheduler requests failing to complete. The host contacts the server, reports whatever and requests new work. The server does not respond.
And yet, the server got the request and assigned new tasks, because on the next successful scheduler request, it sends them, 20 maximum, as 'resending lost tasks'. It just did not complete the response to the host on the previous request.

Inbound network traffic has been falling over the last few hours.
Woke up to find uploads all backed up.
It appears the upload server is still having fits.

Yes, but it appears that more of the work being issued is now non-shorties. Hopefully that helps ease things over the next few hours.

Hey Sten
Google translates
.....Må ET hjälpa oss alla, annars går det här rakt in i svavelriket.

As, "Let ET help us all, otherwise this right into the sulfur kingdom."

How accurate is this? I really like the image of "the sulphur kingdom". :-)

And, to stay on topic, uploads have been pretty well borked here since 00:00 hours UTC.

Heliga guds moder, nu var det för jäkla segt och trögt. På det här viset vinner man inte skid VM.

En av download servrarna är stendöd, och den andra fungerar lika bra som resultatet av att sparka på en död häst.

Må ET hjälpa oss alla, annars går det här rakt in i svavelriket.

I don't know what winning the skiing world cup has to do with the server problems, so I'll just say, "yes, I agree" :)

Dunno what's up with the scheduler/feeder again......
Result creation rate is very low....bandwidth is not saturated, and yet I am getting little success in filling caches even to the limits currently in place.

Not flowing well at the moment.
