Hi Pasi, When i first heard about the arsenic based life, i was open minded and felt they had found something new. But the more articles i read lately on this topic leads me to believe that they made an error and there never was any arsenic incorperated into the DNA structure of the bacteria. I think there was some error in their testing of the samples. Either way, its good to get scientists thinking outside the box. John. |

Having been to Mono Lake in the Tioga Pass area of the Sierra Nevada mountains I can tell you that there is an especially different ecology of life going on there with the brine shrimp and the high temperature water deposits and the bacteria that lives there. |
