hi all im wondering if i could run seti and Battlefield 3 at the same time without the lag or lower graphics or frames per second

i have a GTX460 with Amd x4 630 with 8gb ram.

battlefield 3 is a hungry beast that needs the GPU and used most of the cores that i have also that as im very new i will this later on today becouse im about to fall asleep so im going to lower down seti to 10% and go from there.

what you think

I think you should research the use of the <exclusive_app> and <exclusive_gpu_app> options in the Core client configuration file (cc_config.xml).

See this FAQ for examples of its use.

And how then these people run their GPUs without 'burning'?:

in a word, dont! i play bf3 nearly everyday and all i do is uncheck the tab 'when computer is in use' in my tools.bf3 is a very hungry beast and demands a huge amount of the cpu, gpu. im sure the few hrs a day you play bf3 wont impact massively on your ave credit ;-)
burning out the gpu after 2 years? sounds like someone is playing with some overclocking software.......;-) gpu should last a lot longer than 2 years unless your really raping it or have something setup incorrectly.......too small a p/s maybe?
