Good on those milestones that have so far been achieved. My old P.O.S. Vista E6300 rig has finally passed the 10 million mark on SETI. Cheers. |

My netbook is a Seti millionaire! With just a 13W CPU and a 12W GPU:D Scary numbers when you flash back to 1999! Congrats to all! Alex SETI@home member since 31 Oct 1999 |

My netbook is a Seti millionaire! My netbook is still to get to a half-mill, but my net-top is at 1.2M -- that's the benefit of an ION GPU co-pro. 1999? Heh! I was building multi-processor systems out of National SC/MP micros in 1978 -- 1 MHz clock, 26 microseconds per instruction IIRC... Nowadays what took me 12 hours for a Monte-Carlo simulation on a 1976 mainframe takes just a few seconds on a PC, tho' I haven't benchmarked it in the last few years. |

Overnight I made it into the top 0.1% of Seti crunchers globally according to Boinc Statss. Not quite there in the UK yet though. |

My 2500K rig that I built 14 months ago has now passed the 10 million mark on SETI. Cheers. |

Just broke though the 100M mark or should I say; See, that's a big number. I mean, a really big number. ...and so round and full of zeros, with two (count 'em), TWO commas. That's a number you could write in engineering or scientific notation and not look pretentious. That's a great big bunch of whatever. There's no such thing as a meaningless collection of 100,000,000 of anything. "Oh darn, Professor, I've only been able to create 100,000,000 positrons this afternoon" sounds silly. And even in the vastness of space where "billions and billions" don't sound like much against the backdrop of the infinite, "I'm going to visit 100,000,000 stars this month," still sounds like a lot of stars to go visit. That's a number to be proud of. A big, brawny, man-size number. Congratulations. |

My total Boinc is about to hit 8 million, my Seti 6 million, and my Einstein 2 million, all at about the same time. Also, by the end of next week I should overtake people in my signup date in both projects. That will make me #5 for my date in Seti. Needless to say, I'm watching my stats a bit closer than normal. I didn't even notice when I passed 7 million total Boinc. David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri. |

Woo hoo! I have overtaken user TruEq & TuVaLu (sorry, dude) for 5th place in my joining date. Boinc Stats shows me at 57 days from 4th place (which I know is a variable estimate affected by how much work both I and current 4th place user Jerry S do) and it's not much farther from there to 3rd. 2nd will take many more months, but less than a year, I think. Still closing in on the triple milestone of 8M Boinc, 6M Seti, and 2M Einstein, and looking more and more like they'll come within a day or so of each other. I was just about to post yesterday that I had passed 6M Seti, but then the project crashed and I couldn't. Total Boinc will now hit 8M before Einstain hits 2M. David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri. |

... Total Boinc will now hit 8M before Einstein hits 2M. And it did. How come I'm the only one posting in this thread? I can't be the only one hitting milestones. David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri. |

Well, once you get to a certain point, I guess it just takes more to make a milestone. Tomorrow some time, the kitties will hit 265,000,000 all-Seti kibblestones. 265 million. And only Seti creds. Now that's a grand number, but does it sound much bigger than my 250 million mark? Not really. I guess my next true milestone shall be the 300 million marker. And I plan to be here to mention that one. Boincstats puts it at sometime late in January of next year. Assuming we get by 12/21/12.......LOL. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting."
