Well don't say I didn't warn Ya, $76.20 is what I paid in June for electricity.

Well, that less than half of what i pay per month.

Oh my, I feel really bad now. 400+ a month is CRAZY! I'd rather pay that much then melt in the sun!

It was cooler today, like they predicted, it didn't rain though. Blue skies with a few clouds and temps around 24°C. Still no thunderstorms, they've been predicting that for a week now.

Clear and sunny... Hmm, I think I might remember that. It when it's not raining or something right? *typical Brit moaning about the weather* :)

It's the umpteenth day of this heatwave...Currently 41° C (106° F) in Vandalia, Illinois.

My air-conditioner is straining...and not quite keeping up...It's set at 70F...Currently 75 indoors...and rising.

97F on my back porch right now (peak I saw was 101).
A/C set at 80F during teh day, 72 at night so I can sleep.

Electric bill runs about $200 in the summer, $50-$75 in the winter.

Turbulence -> Equilibrium

Yes or no?

Since I am attached to Climateprediction.net as one of my BOINC projects, I also have a couple such tasks available.

Though right now I am not running many of them, some of them are stuck in versions of BOINC Manager that still resides on my discs, but because of outdated versions like 5.10.30 where I only can run two tasks at the same time, no CUDA, I tend to skip them right now.

But one such task related to a possible "ice world", where nothing was supposed to be happening. In that case, I came across another user which used took 1,4 million seconds of computer processing time in order to find out whether something did happen at all.

I do not know the end result of this computation, but after some 5 percent of my task was completed, I really had to ask on that message board whether it was worth running it to completion.

The answer I received was that it probably was a waste of both computer related resources as well as other costs in order to see the task running to completion, so after running it for a little longer and making a check on its progress, I chose to abort the task.

To summarize, heat builds up ending in rain and thunder, cooling things down again. In the end, we do know about absolute zero when it comes to temperature (273.15 or 273.16 C), but for the high temperatures, there may not exist any known limits in the similar way. I guess it is "hot boiling" or "hot cooking" in the stellar cores of giant or supergiant stars just before they go off in supernovae explosions, creating gold and uranium as a final result.

Heavy rain today. 15C If it carries on like this could upset Wimbledon, I am only about 10 miles away.

It was cold today, at least for the time of year, only 19°C. We had some rain this morning but in the afternoon it stayed dry. It was pretty clouded though. Summer won't start here...

Well I need a new belt & pump for the cooler, going to get the maintenance guy on it on Monday, I've had the pump quit 3 times and I've started it 4 times(thumped the pump on its top with a screwdriver, then the water pump works again), plus high speed works like low speed.

Dull weather today. It has been clouded all day with lots of wind and rather cold for the time of year with temperatures around 18°C. Tomorrow we're expecting the same weather.

Trade you - or maybe split the difference.
It's 90F(32C) at 10:20 am PDT, forecast is for 104-106F(40C).
And not a cloud in sight.

106F? It'll be hotter than that here today or at least the predicted temp is supposed to be 109F, tomorrow 111F, it's been 115F in the past here. The park replaced the old cooler pump, a 69" belt's next of course, but the guy has to go to the Home Depot in Barstow CA, probably on Tuesday, hopefully in the morning the swamp cooler will be fixed.
