Message 1255588 - Posted: 4 Jul 2012, 18:54:31 UTC - in response to Message 1255578.

Had rain this morning, no thunder or lightning, yet, humidity is 42% at present and it's 80F so far outside, the cooler is on max air output, low just won't do today, inside it's 78F and 68% humidity...

My cooler is off currently, but the A/C units are still running.

77F and 36% for me.

My a/c for the place is not hooked up, it would have cost between $2000 and $6000 from the estimates I'd gathered, not inexpensive to have done.

These are window A/C units in my bedroom/crunching den.

The house A/C only gets run on occasion.

72F and 72% currently, it is raining.

Here it's only supposed to be cloudy today, sunny on Thursday, hopefully lightning won't knock Your power out.

18°C here, the bit of rain that's just fallen seems to be cooling things down a bit.

We had about the same temps here today. No A/C though. We expect thunderstorms tonight and tomorrow will be much cooler with temps around 20°C.

Apparently London & the Southern UK is set for torrential rain. In the last month they forecast this two times for London and nothing happened. My electronic weather station records Barometric pressure at 997 millibars with a forecast for getting brighter. A look out of the door shows just a cloudy sky, so I am going to ignore it.

UK weather forecasters are about as much use as chocolate fireguards, you wouldn't encourage your daughter to marry one!

Latest nonsense

Well it's only a "Be Aware" alert for the southeast so probably nothing more than we've had already.

Is he interested in another job?

Doubt it, We have a Mediterranean type climate :) and what leave showbiz? ;) The UK forecasters could take some lessons though...

It's the Jet Stream that's giving us this miserable summer so far.
Still it loiters well south of the UK so dragging in the low pressure
weather systems from the east coast of American/Canada etc.
There's plenty of High pressure regions coming up from the south to
mid Atlantic but their being kept down so sweep over the southern continent
only. All down to Something called a rare double-dip in one of those nino
events we get periodically. I came across this bit of info in May and the
weather prediction for the UK was for a wet summer.

I was in your area back in March, but I prefer my area a little more.

Here, let me correct that. I understand my comma was not proper.

They predicted cool weather today but it was still very hot with temperatures around 28°C and a killing humidity. There were also gonna be some thunderstorms, but I think they're for tonight. The weekend is going to be rainy and cooler with temps around 19°C.

It's because of the humidity I find it hard to endure the high temperatures.
