Quick, someone break something. My machines are clogging with SETI WUs.

I'm with you Sten.

MB in process have been running 4 to 4.8 Mil ever since they imposed the current limits. We are at 4.4 and I believe, the Cricket graph is the way it is because MB limits have been reached. Only reached 4.8 during shorty storm.

Where are the APs to fill up the Cricket graph and our AP caches ??

Dave

Problem is, as you were looking at the status page, AP tends to split several times faster than MB. They tend to go in batches rather than a steady supply. We'll get 10 new tapes show up, and AP burns through them in a matter of hours, where MB takes a day+.

It does pain me to say it, but maybe instead of 4 [edit: 6.. that must be a recent addition)] AP splitters.. scale back to 1 and see if it matches pace with MB better?

Serous upload problems at the moment, only managed to upload 3 shorties in last 45 minutes and as they only take 2 min to crunch, my uploads pending queue is growing rapidly. Upload server seems to be OK, but cricket graph shows bandwidth maxed out and upload rate falling rapidly. I suspect its connected to the current shortie storm.

The Server Status page is missing most of it's content. Something's happening that isn't good.

I suspect it's either the APs messing things up again or that there's is some upload server problems.

Server status page looks OK to me, even all but 2 AP splitters working, but I agree with your sentiment.

It's back to normal now. Many of the servers just disapeared.

Very odd, I wonder if it is just an artifact of poor connection somehow? Anyway uploads seem to be improving slightly from here, though still slow and I still have a backlog.

Strangely enough, download seems to work better, at the moment, than upload.

Agree, though my main cruncher can't get any downloads because it has uploads pending. I guess so many others are in the same situation that demand for downloads has decreased, hence the increased download speed. Eventually it should show up on the cricket graph. Hopefully that will free up some bandwidth for more uploads and we can get rid of the backlog, then demand for downloads will increase again and the crickets will max out etc etc etc.
