And sadly, my top rigs have been making great inroads on Einstein.
I am already in the top 200 or so.
I'd rather see my Einstein RAC drop like a stone.

Maybe I should set NNT here so you can have a chance as I've been constantly downloading them all day, its just a shame that most are shorties but I have picked up several VLAR's and the odd Astro resend.

Cheers.

Wiggo, so you are the one sucking in the wus as they land in Oz ...

I'll plead to that charge and I'm still sucking them up as fast as they arrive though my Vista POS has now reached it limit but the other 2 are still going hard. :D

Cheers.

Just remember Blurf that you are on the same continent as the servers which will make a big difference but where T.A. is he has 6 or more hops to make before he even gets to our undersea connections to your continent than I do to get there and you'll have less hops to make than me and that's not to mention that a lot of his systems are more hungrier than either of our's plus he's not the only one having these connection problems (also some people don't won't to run a backup project or 2/3 for that matter). ;)

Cheers.

So why not troubleshoot the issue rather than just walking away.....

Well the issue was on your side of the pond so it was a bit hard to do anything about it from here other than rotate on different proxies though for me those issues disappeared with the last outage.

Saying you can't do anything about is just incorrect...you can contribute to helping resolve the issues by assisting the GPU Users Group's plan. They've got plans to do a major hardware overhaul that will totally upgrade the project but they can't do it alone.

Personally I think that you've totally missed the point here but that happens now and again. *shrugs*

The upgrades should make a vast improvement to the whole system, the more help we get, the faster we can change things and resolve the issues. Please do help with what you are able to, and we can all find better things to have discussions about here.

Our problem was getting the direct link to work in which using a proxy was routing us around where ever the problem was though that problem has disappeared for me in the last couple of days at least now.

Cheers.

New servers won't help if they still have a crappy connection to the outside world !

Even though I can hit the servers direct now, the connection on the return path to me is still slow and full of timeouts. Using a proxy is enabling downloads of 50KBs plus.

I suspect there is a crappy connection problem between Hurricane Electric and Reach.com at the PAIX which is effecting traffic back to Oz. But it needs a ping test and trace route back towards me to prove it.

I've been full since last night so my 3 have only been having the occasional sip all day so I don't know whose getting them now.

If you check out the following web-page:

http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/radiopulsar/html/BRP4_discoveries/,

you actually are having a project as well as a web-page for something that is supposed to deliver some kind of result in return.

Why? Because astronomers and theoretical physicists are supposed to both assume as well as agree that such objects like pulsars, neutron stars, black holes and maybe even wormholes do exist in space and that these types of objects warrant a specific scientific examination. The objects being studied relate to science because they are assumed to be true and existing scientific objects.

From observation of such types of objects it may be possible to prove that such objects do exist, based on the results from scientific or other observational data being returned. Also many results can be derived from just plain theoretical physics alone.

But when it comes to the subject of UFO's and aliens (possible intelligent "civilizations" in space), it apparently becomes a little more difficult and hard to comprehend for most people, even though most people tend to have a positive attitude and approach towards the field.

Does it all relate to the subject of belief if this should be mentioned at all? Not necessarily religious belief.

Do we really believe that aliens exist out there, or can history perhaps tell us anything else or perhaps even more?

Neither does the GOD of Death for that matter, but what I'm slowly building should do pretty well once built and unleashed 24/7 on Seti...

Then I'll just need to upgrade this PC to water cooling which should be fairly quick as It's already half there, just the 3-GTX295 cards need to be water cooled and I think I have most of the parts for that small wonder.
