The BBC's diplomatic correspondent James Robbins said the tone of the press conference suggested a clear attempt by Berlin to calm recent tensions after 10 days of wrangling about who was to blame for the UK's decision to veto the EU agreement. No wrangling necessary, it was caused by France. Admit it Germany you feel like kicking Sarkozy's butt over all this. Cameron has got that lot by their short and curlies, he could ask for the world and they would give it to him. That lot desperately needs the UK in, if we stay adrift as we are now they know a referendum could seriously be on the cards. We know, they know what the result from this referendum would be. As for USS*, are all Unions post 1917 bound to be on the Soviet model? To put if another way, we have the USofA, is the USofE such a scary proposition? ____________ I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ...

	That's how international politics works. PM's and their various policies come and go, it's the Civil Servants of each country that have to carry on the day to day business behind the scenes, and keep talking. Of course the UK will continue to play a part in Europe, we have to, otherwise we have no control over all the madcap ideas coming out of Brussela. But we have to negotiate a better position than we have at present, which is what Cameron highlighted, Haig confirmed, and what we will do.

This states what it wants to be in clear unadulterated language.... "It is a political union we want." The USA is made up of 50 States where as the "So-called" USSE will be made up of 28 countries......it'll never work as the USSR proved...just look to the history of US States......... ____________

	John as per the profecy of the Mayas, it looks like that the end of the qorld will be on the 22nd of Dec of 2012. Just another miss interpretation of the Maya calendar. It seems that mankind after all this years still think that earth is the centre of the universe. From the cosmology point of view, predictions of the future are simple nonsense, on the other hand, see the pros if the profecy is true. Imagine all the money you will save as there will be no need to buy any xmas gifts next year... LOL
