I've got one machine that's uploading a WU or 2 every now & then- pretty much keeping the backlog at it's present level. The other machine, using the same router, has only been able to upload a couple of WUs in the last hour. It'll be out of GPU work in a couple more hours at this rate.

Yeah, uploading is a PITA, it works sometimes, but it usually times out and triggers a human intervention.

I've found that even with constant intervention, sometimes the "No Tasks Available", coupled with elusive uploads/ downloads, and reporting work along with shortie storms can be a bit frustrating, but I am sure that it the long run things will work out. The GPU users group does now have a way for us to donate via Pay-pal, as well as other ways. We are in a difficult search for ET, but I am grateful that the avenues for securing the project are moving forward. There are now many ways via GPU Users Group and existing avenues that all work toward continuing progress toward a common goal.

Sometimes a few results can be ULed.
The transfers overview in my BOINC have a lot results ready for UL.

It looks like the UL server have problems.. - maybe we are in front of the next server downtime..?

Being unable to upload, one system is almost out of GPU work & the other is not far behind.

Not here.
I noticed a spike in uploads, so i've been giving retry a go. I might be up to 4 or 5 uploads an hour now.

Crickets show that while the download data rate is fairly constant the upload rate is a sawtooth, with the peak level about half of the previous normal level, so something isn't quite right in the world of S@H.
Symptoms here are the pile of completed WU that are stuck in the upload queue, with one escaping from it every now and then.

I suppose we'll have to wait for the tyre kicker to get into work on Monday morning for what ever is broken to be unbroken.

The upload problem isn't due to the network, there are server issues.

My top rig has about 3 hours worth of GPU work left.
Since it can't even upload work at the rate it is crunching the shorties, most of the time Boinc won't even let it ask for work, much less download anything issued.

Oh well, the kitties will have to find some alternate kibble to crunch on until the servers can be kicked out of their whacked state.

Patience, courage & fortitude.

No, its panic time.

Almost 600 WU's in the upload queue and I AM DRY.

Desperate times, desperate measures.

41 VLAR's in the pot, lets see how x41g can handle them, I am going easy only 1 per card.

Got a few AP's for the CPU.

The download pipe is still full so who or where are all them WU's going?

Well, with the multitude of hosts on the project, even if up/down and work requests are only successful for a small percentage of them, it's enough to keep the bandwidth filled. That, and the fact that what ever is issued has mostly been shorties.

(I suspect as well that a lot of the bandwidth is being wasted on idle chatter between the servers and hosts with partial downloads and repeated retries).

I did just get one work request successfully through for my top rig by spending some quality time with my mouse and the retry button.
And they were of the 5-6 minute variety rather than 2 minute shorties.
That will help extend the GPU cache a little bit.

So maybe there is some hope.

I tried that but mine was too far gone, I only had shorties left and I could not press the button fast enough to keep up with them.

I am looking at about an hour per VLAR on GPU, so x41g looks as good as or slightly better than previous releases on 470's.
