Biologist Lynn Margulis, former wife of Carl Sagan and author, with James Lovelock, of the Gaia hyputhesis has died at 73 in her home. Here is an article on her by thereporter.co.uk:

Women have often more imagination than men. I have known astronomer Margherita Hack, now around 90 years old, and she is a fascinating person.
