Hi~When I compile the source code, I have the following error report:

---------------------------------------------------------------------
WARNING: trying to build the seti_boinc server but informix was not found.
If you don't want to build the server you should use --disable-server.

I am continuing now as if --disable-server had been specified.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Does SETI use informix? But as far as I know, informix is a business products. So how can I get the informix and compile the server?

The server code is used in SETI lab (at Berkeley)
You don't need it on your home computer.

You can get ready to use BOINC client software from here:

Thanks, BilBg.
But what I want to do is running the SETI server on my computer to do some experiments in my LAN. And then try to move this project to another distributed system. So I need to compile the server source.

Then you can see here:
http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/sah_status.html

... that SETI uses mysql & informix (see bottom of page - "Glossary - Programs:")
