I don't know if this is the way that the program is supposed to work, but when setiathome started working, it automatically paused the other project that I had downloaded (not setiathome). Can BOINC only work on one project at a time?

The settings for "Resource share" work with time slices, not with concurrent CPU sharing - time slices are more efficient.

yes it will switch back the default is 1 hour., you can change this in you account page.
