Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet We're playing it in a concert in a few weeks so been practising it a lot lately. Quite what the neighbours think i don't know. Trombone doesn't actually play much in the whole piece, mainly the first and seventh movements (Dance Of The Knights and Romeo At Juliet's Tomb), with the odd note or fill scattered among the other five. There are four bars in the first movement (1m11s in the above link) that make the whole thing worthwhile though! Life on earth is the global equivalent of not storing things in the fridge. |

I've been trying to decide if I like the idea of Queen being reanimated without Freddy Mercury. To help me decide, listening to some classic Queen. Queen - Radio Gaga Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas. Albert Einstein |

Freddy Mercury was unique - no matter how good the new guy is, it won't be the same. That said........ Many bands continue to be popular after lineup changes. I'm waiting to hear how they sound.
