*sizzle* *whooooooooooosh* *KABOOM!!!!!* It's reminded me of the most excellent fireworks displays I saw as a kid. The family is all gathered in the garden, the usual Kathryn wheels and such were set off until it was time for the rockets. Excited? Oh yes, to my eight year old ears the word rocket set off images of massive explosions high in the sky in my head. Dad sets off the first couple, each of which were fantastic, the whoosh of 'em going off on their first and final journey ended by, what was for me, the biggest explosion I'd ever seen. "Final rocket" says my Dad. Oooh this must be the best, I thought. Ages pass by, and nothing happens. Finally, the words I'd been waiting for "It's lit" says Dad. *WHOOSH*, off goes the rocket. Not into the sky as you'd thought, oh no, this bugger decided to make fifty laps around the garden in half a second, before going shooting over the garden wall and exploding, the sparks flying right over us. Brilliant. |

So there I was, sortta awake, and staring again at that large bright whitish thing in the sky ... another dry sunny day, or the revenge of the bright orange pumpkin beast? It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues |
