No gripes - just quibbles.

Yet, no GPU crunching ensues. Just CPU crunching. Is it a lack of GPU work units or is it a problem on my end? There's no shortage of MB tasks, and they aren't "wrapped" as CPU or GPU until your work request is filled. Wrong thread for troubleshooting, suggest you open a thread for that. And, tell us which computer (I can guess but it's best to be specific), if you have venues set for your computers, preference settings, etc. ____________ Another Fred Support SETI@home when you search the Web or shop online with GoodSearch and GoodShop

I uninstalled Flash-rebooted-now says I can't install it because it's already there. AARRGGHH Blurf, it seems there's a, problem with flash 11.3, no fix yet but there is a few work arounds. Gripe: I've been hit by the same flash bug :( Kudos: Since the astropulse splitter bug issue has been solved I've now got quite a few on board. ____________ In an alternate universe, it was a ZX81 that asked for clothes, boots and motorcycle. The latest client version is reluctant to download. There's almost no work left and the log keeps saying Not reporting or requesting tasks. Why not?

The latest client version is reluctant to download. There's almost no work left and the log keeps saying Not reporting or requesting tasks. Why not? Because the way it handles the cache is different to v6. You need to change your cache settings. ie if they were 1 & 4 then you need to change them to 4 & 1. ____________ Grant Darwin NT.

Whenever I check the Server status, I see over 330,000 Results ready to send, but whenever I manually request an update, I see a message which says that I got 0 new tasks and Project has no tasks available.

What is the exact message?
| ID: 1276446 · | |
Whenever I check the Server status, I see over 330,000 Results ready to send, but whenever I manually request an update, I see a message which says that I got 0 new tasks and Project has no tasks available. "project has no tasks available" simply means that all the units (about 100/second) in the distribution queue have been allocated at the time of your request. BOINC will try again in 5 minutes; all you need is patience. EDIT: We've been in the midst of a "shortie (VHAR) storm lately, therefore, demand is high and turnaround is quick, increasing the demand for work even more. ____________

Yes, it solved itself. I guess BOINC just has to keep trying. I know I should leave it as a "set it and forget it" task, but it's hard to do that.

snip but the Server status said over 300k were ready Server status is a snapshot that updates every 20 minutes, there is a time for the snapshot top left. Depending on when the snapshot was the data you are seeing could be up to 20 minutes old. ____________
