Ok, uninstalled and then reinstalled Boinc, turned off Windows Firewall, Avire AntiVir Personal & Threatfire and then re-joined the project. Also have Skip image file verification? set to YES

So far, still no luck. Any new ideas?

Where is the problem? You now have two tasks downloaded, one MultiBeam CUDA and one AstroPulse task (after abandoning 408 tasks).

If those two aren't downloaded completely, please reboot and post the startup messages from the event log.

Those HTTP errors are probably due to network congestion (APs are being split again, shorty storm).

Try downloading the file seti_608.jpg manually (via your browser) and place it in the projects\setiathome.berkeley.edu beneath your BOINC data directory. The last 'reset project' obviously didn't reload that file.

... obviously two things appear to be true:
1) your ISP changes .jpg files (ask the ISP to confirm if you wish)
2) the setting "Skip image file verification? yes" is not active in BOINC

Why?
Since you have this line:

Even if you changed one value all values are saved and they override the web preferences.

So you have to set:

I'm finally getting work done! Changing the BOINC Manager preferences on each of my computers to Skip image file verification? yes seems to have done the trick. I had done that online, but I guess it wasn't changing things in the software.

Now onto getting a new computer built and start building my team and funding raising project. Its great to be helping again. Thanks to all that helped me get this figured out!

Not if you have ever used the local preferences, as they override the online ones. To reassert the online preferences, you have to clear the local ones (on each host).
