We are there now. There's nothing there as far as SETI is concerned. How long to enter another star system. You will be long gone by then. Another good read Lynn. One day we will possess the technology to fly off into outer space thence be able to retrieve these two Voyagers. Bring them back as our heroes to early space technology....one day. ____________ The Kite Fliers -------------------- Kite fliers: An imaginary club of solo members, those who don't yet belong to a formal team so "fly their own kites" - as the saying goes.

Remember V'Ger from the "Startrek the motion picture" ..... I always wondering if the V'ger/human combining at the end of STMP was intended to be the beginning of the BORG collective ____________ Proud member of TSWB. End terrorism by building a school

According to the Borg Queen, the species known as the Borg started out as normal lifeforms without any cybernetic enhancements thousands of centuries ago. Over the years, they evolved into a mixture of organic and artificial life. (Star Trek: First Contact; TNG: "Q Who") It is believed that the Borg originated in the Delta Quadrant, where they already existed in 1484. At that time, only a handful of solar systems had been assimilated by them and they had many encounters with a species who called themselves the Vaadwaur. (VOY: "Dragon's Teeth") Good thinking but apparently not.

In the Voyager finale, "Endgame", a version of Janeway from a future alternate timeline travels back in time to aid in Voyager's return to the Alpha Quadrant through the use of a Borg transwarp hub, one of six such structures in the galaxy which allow Borg ships to traverse galactic distances in minutes.
